Sea Side Joy Ride

Oh man it was hard to believe..
we finally escaped to the roaring seas..
Sipping drinks and tossing cares,
To the wind, as the music blares.

Oh man it was crazy... hard to stop,
staring at you while we laughed and rocked
We danced and smiled to every note,
of music and songs on that giant boat.

I climbed aboard not knowing you.
I thought you were just my husband who
works hard, great father and loving man...
I had forgotten about your amazing hands.

I climbed aboard not fully aware
of the travel companion beyond compare
the best I could imagine you far exceed
my wildest dreams... I couldn't have foreseen.

That you would light up my life once more.
You were so much fun and juicy galore.
Your eyes, hugs, fragrance and charm
My goodness I loved your heavenly arms!!

Being with you on the open seas..
Prior could I claim my life to be
Totally fulfilled and finally complete?

Perhaps, but wait I have to think.......

We have our kids, our home and work
We've had our years of trials and hurt.
We have great families, they cheer us on..
Still more dreams on paper drawn.

What have we not? I can think of none.
You are the world's greatest, number one...
travel companion , lover and friend
Too soon our sea side joy ride ends!!!

As we plug through our daily chores
the closer we get to book once more..
our next voyage inside a cruise ship suite
In screaming bliss, (out of breath) we will sleep.
